Learning for Life Home Learning
23rd March 2020
Dear Parents and Carers
Home Learning Model Timetable
Please find attached a home learning timetable that we have developed in consultation with our Educational Psychologist Emma Gore-Langton and Speech and Language therapist Maddy White. Maddy has also devised the attached visual timetable which you may wish to use.
We understand that many of our students thrive on routine and we have produced this timetable to support parents who may wish to introduce some structure to the week days while schools are closed.
The activities suggested are just ideas that parents may wish to use at home with their child and are not expectations from school or intended to add any additional pressure to parents; you should do whatever will work best for you and your family.
Zones of Regulation
Attached is some guidance for parents on using the Zones of Regulation system which is a very user-friendly system we use in schools to help students manage their emotions. Many of our students who are visual learners find this can really help support them to understand and identify with their emotions, especially now when emotions are heightened and many children are feeling anxious.
