Our topic this half term is ‘ourselves’. This is a fantastic opportunity for our children to get to know their friends
and adults, and to settle into their new school. Children have enjoyed lots of different learning experiences
such as drama activities (to develop communication skills and imagination), painting (to develop writing
skills and creativity) and sharing sensory stories (to develop reading skills and concentration). They have
also developed their team working ability through physical games.
These skills are a vital foundation for future learning, as well as being important life skills. During the
year, we will be holding information sessions for parents/carers to share ways this learning can be
continued at home.
