Ages and stages

Learners progress through the school in stages, from early years to post 16.

As every child is different, we take time to get to know them and to personalise their learning using Pathways. Pathways allow learners to move through the Key Stages in ways that suit them best.

EARLY YEARS AND
KEY STAGES 1 & 2
(KS1 & KS2)

The early years foundation stage (EYFS) inspires children to learn through play. Learners are introduced to our 5 curriculum domains in the initial Key Stages.

KEY STAGE 3
(KS3)

Learners develop knowledge and skills across the 5 curriculum domains. They're encouraged to think about themselves and their future.

KEY STAGE 4
(KS4)

Learners continue with a programme of academic study, life and work skills and are supported in choosing options. Some gain vocational qualifications.

POST 16

Learners are supported with their academic studies and in making choices about their future education and employment. Greater independence is encouraged ready for adult life and work.
